It’s a good dorm. I had a single room in 2020.
It’s one of the suite options you can choose from if you’re going to be a first-year student. The heating in Grissom is good so you don’t have to worry about freezing in the winter ;D I shared a bathroom with my suite mates. It had 2 toilets, a shower and 3 sinks that worked fine(although most bathrooms in Grissom have 2).
It’s not a particularly loud dorm, it just depends on who’s around you (But it’s probably quieter than then the Corridors though since in a suite you just have a few people around you while there it’s a whole hallway). It’s also close to the Williams center which has food options and the Gym is across from there as well if you plan on going there. Inside they also have a printer, which not all the dorms have, just Kasling and Grissom as far as I know so that’ll help you A LOT if you need to print something out for class.
What you’ll also find useful is the snack and drink machine on the first floor along with the kitchen and 2 bathrooms in case you come back from class and have an Emergeny that just can’t wait for your room!
I think from my experience that Grissom is a good suite dorm and I’d recommend it if you’re going to be a first year student at SUNY Fredonia (or if you’re just planning to go change your room, that’s fine too) !
