I was a resident of “New Liv” from 2000 to 2002. I definitely enjoyed my time at Fisk but felt my on campus living experience somewhat lacking. New Livingstone Hall is adequate, but has none of the amenities that more modern residence halls offer now. Granted, Fisk is a school where learning and study trump the social scene, so students are encouraged to get out of their rooms and participate in events and collaboration. But they could definitely invest a little money into the male-only dormitory.
